Over the past week I have seen the Black Lives Matter protests sweeping across the United States and Europe. I have taken the opportunity to listen, reflect, and learn from the experiences and views of black and ethnic minority voices from both sides of the Atlantic. Over the coming weeks we will use a number of channels to amplify voices that have helped our understanding, by giving us a window into experiences that differ from our own.

I continue to be bowled over by the quality and high standard of work that all our pupils have been producing. I have heard from many proud primary staff who have shared some of these wonderful pieces. It is wonderful to see such creativity, imagination, curiosity and love of learning from our pupils. This success is due to the combined efforts of our dedicated staff and our supportive parents, ensuring that the children are achieving impressive strides in their learning.

Senior High Notes 15th May

Today would have been U6’s last formal day in school. It is indeed sad times that we are not able to be together and enjoy many of the traditions that normally occur over their last few weeks. In the Queen’s recent address, she referred to Dame Vera Lynn’s now famous song ‘We'll Meet Again'. I will remind you of some of the words: We'll meet again, Don't know where, don't know when, But I know we'll meet again, some sunny day. Keep smiling through, Just like you always do, Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds, far away.
